A Favorite Dress Across the Gulf Region
Kuwaiti dishdasha is one of the favorite dresses across the Gulf region. Not only Kuwaiti but people from other regions like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and United Arab Emirates also love this dress.
It is very much like Saudi Thobe except the cuffs and collar design. Saudi thobe has wider banded collar while Kuwaiti dishdasha comes with banded collar which is shorter than Saudi.
Classic and closed collar designs are mostly preferred in both styles, but people in Kuwait prefer wider cuffs.
What are the Features of Kuwaiti Dishdasha?
Kuwaiti dishdasha has a short banded collar that looks clean and its collar does not irritate you when you sit.
The cuffs are kept wider about 3-4 inches in width. Mens who wear Kuwaiti dishdasha love this kind of cuffs.
There are two different variations in cuff styles. First one is classic square cuffs with one or two buttons, and second one is soft rounded cuffs with no buttons.
On some dishdasha, you will notice a line that starts from the bottom of the placket all the way to the hem. It is not very common but it gives a formal look to your kuwaiti dress.
The front pocket is optional as we add it on demand. If you want a classic look, go for a front pocket, and if you prefer a clean and formal look, you can choose the Dishdasha without a pocket.
